What is this “Love” thing?

Posted by Sahata On April - 10 - 2010 ADD COMMENTS

We seem to be in a society that has a major emphasis on”Love”. We want to feel “Love” , be “Loved”, have “Love” . How is it that we become so obsessed with love? “Love” is a word that seems to be intertwined with cross meaning like,”I love my dog.” or “I love this place.” So maybe we have become so comfortable with using this word so interchangeable and we have lost the meaning. What is “love?” Is there a such thing as  love at first sight? or is it lust? If love is forever then why is it so short coming and have so many conditions placed on it?

I feel we can only get unconditional love from a source like our parents. If we look at it, the love that we are use to experiencing has many conditions. Conditional love is when you put conditions on your love such as; ” I love you if you” or ” I love you until you”. This seems to confuse us in distinguishing,”What is love?” I don’t know but I’m willing to find out! What do you think?…..Sahata Says

Deja Vu?

Why do we find ourselves in cycles when it comes to romance? What are we looking for and what are we not looking for? Self – acceptance is something we all must face. I feel a lot of the time we seek approval from others , by not completely knowing ourselves and accepting ourselves. I feel we tend to look and search for something to validate us as “OK“.

Sometimes we go in and out of relationships or bed-mates only to realize that we seem to be dating the same type of person and the only thing that is changing is the physical aspect. Until we realize whatever problems we have has to be solved by us and only us ,  then we can truly become validated. Sometimes we look for things to solve our  problems such as; money, tangible items or people. We fail to realize that there is nothing that can solve our issues except for us. A temporary fix does not make your problems better, only bigger. Until we face the truth, “ballsy” and all then we can truly become free. What do you think?

Chic and Meek!

Posted by Sahata On April - 8 - 2010 1 COMMENT

Last night I was taking a stroll threw my neighborhood and decided to stop by Chloe . Chloe is very sophisticated neighborhood lounge . It has a very elegant ambiance ,you could go there to meet a business associate or a bed mate, and either would be a success:) While sitting at the bar I mingled with locals and talked about everything from politics to celebrity gossip. I truly felt I was getting the best of both worlds, Hollywood glitz and glam but meeting  down to earth people that I could have a “real” conversation with. I felt like I was in the 2010 version of  Cheers.(lol)

The bartender just so happened to be a mixoligist by the name of Josh. He was quit the charming type:) I sat down and said; “give me something good.” and he said; ” I have the perfect drink for you.” He made me this drink called the French 75 it was awesome! It was a mix of fresh lemon ,Champagne, simple syrup and Hendricks gin. This drink had chic written all over it. They should make this one of there signature drinks! After some women next to me heard me raving about how great this drink was to the bartender, they ordered one. Next thing I knew I had started a trend! Every woman I saw around me had a French 75 and a smile on their face to go along with it:) I felt my job was done here!

After I mingled for a few, I said my goodbyes and exchanged email addresses with the locals, They asked,”Where are you going next week?” (he,he) I had a blast tonight it could not have been more perfect. The energy was vibrant and I have a new favorite drink! Well, for the time being that is:)…………………..Sahata Says
