Something happen to me this week that I am not yet ready to talk about, but it was definitely an eye opener! Sometimes things happen in our life that compel us to ask questions. Questions like, “why me?” or “I cant believe this happened.” We then, start to fall into a poor me phase that makes us subconsciously think of ourselves as the victim,and we start to act as such. As a result, we start to attract experiences where we are a victim. If we catch ourselves when we feel we have become victimized and see ourselves as the non-judgemental observer instead of the victim, we can benefit and learn from the experience. It can be a learning experience. You can choose to live your life embracing your journey or counting your losses. Every loss or gain is an experience that you can learn from and be beneficial if you choose to take the lesson. Being a victim is saying you have no power and therefor powerless. Being an non-judgemental observer is self empowerment saying I am taking from this experience what I can gain no matter good or bad. So next time something happen in your life and you see yourself falling into the “poor me” box , Ask yourself do I want to be powerless or empowered?
